Did you check the valve clearance after you bolted on the head? I know Joe sets the valve clearance for you, but you should still check. I had one or two that were pretty darn loose. They were probably safe to run, but I changed shims because I had the ones that I needed.

appreciate all the replies but i took off the cam cover and discovered that 3 of the four cam cap bolts were stripped on my # 1 cylinder exhaust cam...no damage apperent...next question..anyone one know of a decent machine shop to install helicoils in said cap?? :blink:

Send it back to Joe at Pitstop , or contact Larry C , or find a local machine shop . Its not a hard repair.
