We treated the floors of this c-130 with "otto-tives" to prove just how tough this stuff is,we also treated the fuel system with our new "jato-juice" fuel treatment/injector cleaner (tm)
unfortunately omr forgot to close the back door allowing a tank to slide out the back door,we were able to settle out of court.(omr will be paying $ 1.00 a week through payroll deduction till its payed off. :S )
anyway the important thing is the:S floors show no major wear, other then where the crew was clawing the floor to stay aboard(theyll be released from hospital soon) :woohoo:

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

On a more serious note, how about the stator plug? What sealant do you guys use to guarantee that there won't be leaks where the wires exit the wet stator?

I plan on ordering one, but are you saying that with a new grommet the stator cover leak goes away without the need of any sealant?

The bikes when brand new were free of leaks from the grommet area, and am thinking (but might be wrong) that there was no factory sealant applied.

But akin to the rubber half-moon cam plugs, when replacing the grommet, would be unable to resist smearing on a thin layer of silicone after scrupulously cleaning the cover areas where the grommet fits.

Would be nice to hear some leak-free success stories with only a new grommet on a clean cover without any sealant being used.

Good Fortune! :)

Yes, I am quite interested in hearing this as I will be taking the stator cover off (again) and attempting to solve this issue with a new gasket and grommet.

Anybody have suggestions? I'm all ears...
