OK so would DFIGPZ's GPz Cams require mods to fit or not? I'm not understanding that.

Hey Old Man Rock - yes I thought about dropping the gearing, but I really don't want it turning any faster on the freeway. I'm happy with the current gearing.

www.kzzone.com/sprockets.html Link to the sprockets you need to run GPz cams.

thanks again Larry. this is the one?
----
ACS1100K $49.95
Adjustable Cam Sprockets (one pair) - Kawasaki 1000J / GPZ1100 adapter sprockets.
----
And will the GPZ cams raise the powerband higher in the rpm range, losing power at lower rpms? I won't like it if so. Thanks very much for your expert advice.

No, the ACS1100K allows you to run the KZ style 3 bold cams in the hy-vo chain J models and GPZs.

We make a sprocket that allows the GPZ cam to be run in the KZ roller chain engine, however, we only make it in a 32 tooth version for motors with the big pin MK11 style cranks.

Jay...why don't you make the sprockets for use with a 15T center KZ1000/Z1 crank? Lots of them out there and would think it would be a good seller. Just curious.

I could be coaxed into modifying some 30th sprockets for the price of the one's Jay sells for the MKII cranks. Holler if you want them.

So with those sprockets the cams will fit with no other mods, correct? I may go for that.

with Larrys modified cam sprockets you should be good to go you may have to clearance head and remove the 'X'from the underside of valve cover.

Back in the day, the GPZ cam was sought after by the funnybike guys running KZ motors. It was a perfect turbo cam. Of course all of those guys run the big pin cranks.

That stuff doesn't sell like it used to.

We make a 3 0toorh two bolt sprocket for the Suzuki GS1100/1150. Starts out as the same blank as the Kaw 30T. I will have to check if it would fit the GPZ cam.
