Looks cool! Are you running the stock fairing? If the rules allow, it might give you something to tuck behind down the long straights. I'm working on reinstalling mine for this season.

yep, might want to add one later on. bike came without it so that's not much help and most of the vintage fibergalss caters for 60's-70's

so have yet to find a 1/2 fairing that suits it.

in any case, run out of time for such stuff, will add as time allows.

Would like to add some graphics too as bike looks a bit nerdy in one color :P but that'll be for later too

Lookin' good! Don't they require a shark fin (toe saver) for racing in Italy? I know of a place that can help with the fairing

Actually they changed the ratio to reduce the load on the clutch & transmission. That's what they told us back in 85 anyway.

That's what I meant - so the trans could take more torque. Sorry if I didn't word it very well.

racer is marching on indeed, was just too busy crankin' in the garage to post anything.... must have put in there a good 30 hours this week alone (that's after work, mind you :P )

in any case, after playing a bit with the ignition wires (was off by 180 degs) bike finally started with a nice vroom today, so i can take a deep breath. sounds good and always a nice feeling when a former pile of rust comes back to life as a fire breathing racer .

will try to update with pics before leaving to the track on thursday,
if i dont manage, then look fwd for a first race report after next weekend.

Cheers

TG

Nice to hear it fired and your efforts are rewarding you.

With the videos your showing a mixed pack... So I'm just wondering why a zx750 as your race platform of choice?

Look forward to a test report... :woohoo:

I was thinking the same, only thing that those videos arent mine :) they are corey's and i wouldnt race a zx550 against the bikes he does either ;)

its a strange thing that over there in No Cal they dont have any proper vintage racing class for a 550

I'll be racing mine in the open class in the italian vintage championship. I'll be a bit down on power in the full 1000c.c's KZ and GS, but the GPZ is much lighter so hoepfully in the tighter tracks it should give them a good fight.
