Hey TG,
I feel like a brother from another mother. I hope that RSC ignition cover doesn't melt off it's new home!
Regardless, your ride is coming together nicely. Still no news about the Ti retainers, do you want to forget them for now?
What are you hoping to produce on the dyno?

Hei Brent, welcome to the Klub
will run stock retainers for the time being, being a DOHC dont think it's super critical, and a bigbore is not going to be a screamer either.
Seen some dyno's where people got round 90 hp from just the 810/ 10.25:1 piston kit, degreed stock GPZ cams and carbs, so who knows what happens with 12.5:1, some mild porting and hotter cams? :
to be honest, 90 will do for the first few races till i get used to it. This wil be just the start of development

It's all about corner speed. Sure you can have power down the straights, but there will be bike that have 1/2 the rear wheel horsepower you have go right around you in the corners. Happens to me all the time.
I have seen from others, that with just the big bore kit, it will increase peak torque, but the compression, valve size, porting, carburetion, and exhaust outlet are the limiting factors in making more power. My race bike is top end limited for now, but from where I started, I've increased torque almost 10 ft. lbs. from a stock engine.
Good luck, and always remember to have fun first. It's a blast racing. :woohoo:

Plum likes eating popcorn while watching and enjoying progress in a thread.
Wonder if Cracker Jacks would be better?
Or maybe Boston Baked Beans?

I jsut remembered something. I have been told that back in the day, the racers would use one long bolt going from one side to the other on the front motor mounts, instead of the short ones that bolt the mount to the engine case. They said this would give extra support. Something I'll be looking into.
