after looking at the bike for three months from a distance of not more the 3 feet in my small garage, i finally mounted the tires. Time to roll it out and get some perspective.

days like this keep your motivation high and that sinuous waist line is definitely growing on me :)

You'll have to relocate the clipons to accomodate your long frame - it looks to suit me... and i'm half your size

of course that i also sat on it and man! it fits me perfectly as is, specially compared to my cramped 500.

The tank is quite long, so a bit of a stretch to the bars actually but i am glad to have room to tuck down at last.

Should ask my girlfriend to take a picture with me aboard.

bike is pretty tall too, shame that i have to fit the engine, it feels really light like that ;)

Coming along nicely! Are you going to run it naked or with a fairing?

First off, nice build!

With the frame strengthening, does the stock gas tank still fit, or did you have to modify the underside?

MOMBA2 is has made the following modifications to their '84 GPz550 Racer's frame, but had to modify the underside of the tank:

The back of the frame, they cross-braced with tubing. Can't locate that picture.

Good luck on the build and racing season.
