Yes, I think so. I use the J valves because they're shorter than a KZ valve. You need to sink the valves when you go OS like that. This way you have room to work with a stock base circle cam.

I'm a cheater, I've been hording late model GPZ1100 heads for my future projects. It made a HUGE difference when i mounted a ported one on my bike. I've got three squirreled away at the moment. 
The .420 intake and .410 exhaust cams don't hurt none either.
