Yes you can put the Megaphone tailpipe on it. It is narrower in the transition area and a bit bigger in the flair end.

They may have changed the construction over the years to make it more universal, but the design geometry and looks are the same as the modern MAC Megaphone pipe.

Here's a pic of my $12 Yosh. What is it? If you can't tell from this crappy pic, I can get a better one.

I've always heard that the Mac's are an inferior quality pipe - what do you think? They sure look great and the one that I owned held up perfectly for many years.

Here's my Yoshi pipe again that Otakar ID's as a type I drag style header (in another post). Thanks for that info! I always thought it looked more drag than road race but didn't realize Yoshi made one. Here's a picture of Greg Z's bike with this pipe mounted:

So the Series II has a non-constant diameter muffler section?

Yes it looks a lot like the MAC Cannister pipe but it has a much larger collector which makes the transition to the muffler not as unsightly.

Ok, now I've got it all down. I'm looking forward to seeing this new MAC competition pipe on sale. And I'll be saving my pennies for a Yosh titanium hand bent system. How much are they anyways? Hopefully in a year I'll be working as and engineer, should be able to afford something big.

I did forget one point. The Yoshimura series II sweeps up a lot. It was intended for road-racing. If I am not mistaking, it required the removal of the right rear footpeg.
