Keep the kicker and ditch the heavy electric starter. I wish I had one on my 750 too.

I have used mine many times when I forgot to hook up my Battery Tender. A couple kicks and I'm off. Could not imagine not having a second option. I'll bet many guys with newer bikes wish this option still existed! Keep the kicker! If appearance is a concern then maybe paint it black to kinda hide it? ;)

i'm bucking the majority here,Toss It.
my z1r with factory ele.ign wont fire with the kickstarter if there is not enough voltage to start it on the button.so with that in mind i removed the gear and shaft built me a blockoff plate and got me one of them cb honda starters.although i have had to bumpstart it a couple times(just cause i am a dumbass that tried to start it when i was outta gas):blush: .

Sometimes I use it just for the hell of it and to show it is a motorcycle. I have had batteries so drawn down that I have had to use it. Many times when the starter barely spins it, one kick and they are running. My 750 doesn't have one and I wish it did. Kick are great things.

Keep it.
I drained my battery using driving lights.
Stopped for a photo op, and she wouldn't start with the electric when I tried to leave 5 minutes later.
Luckily the kicker worked. I did have to remove the rearset footpeg I installed. Just pulled the pivot pin. First time I used the kick start since installing the rearsets.
My bike has a factory electronic igniton from an '80s kz.

Just for "kicks" I tried starting it today with the kickstarter (not sure if I'd ever tried to in the past) and she started first kick ran great. Man this bike is a hoot!
