And by the way...is that a super charger on that bike? Sure doesn't look like any carbs I've seen before (in your photos of your billet oil junction block)

it looks like the plug will be goin in straight,(rather than perpendicular to the chambers surface) how do u deal with the plugs edge, sticking into the chamber? i take it u would use a smaller diameter plug? what ignition system do u like to use??
That frame looks wicked, can u tell us more about it as well. was it a gpz frame?

Frame is/was 750 zephyr but you won't know it by the time i'm finished with it.
It's gonna be a tight squeeze getting the motor in but it'll be worth the effort as i think it's gonna look very trick,
Should have the motor mounts done in a week so i'll post more pic's then.
how about some more pics of that frame?that thing looks pretty stout, who built it what is it?
keep us posted on the new project,i'm sure that it will be top notch.

Plugs do go straight down it's the only way it can be done.
I used 10mm short reach although a 12mm can be squeezed in, There's not enough thickness for long reach.
Ignition is dyna's' with four 1.5 ohm dyna coils (the red/orange ones)

Hi Rob,
You have a vision beyond dreams when building modified bikes. Awesome!!!
I have a 1327 done about 9500ks. The head has the grub screws
already in it. Is there a reason why you cannot run the external hoses without pluging the head and barrel. The motor was leaking oil from the gasket but I have three breather outlets to relieve that.
Thanks Harvey

The cams aren't roller bearing though, they run in the head just like the 750 ones. I don't see the need to run large diameter lines to the head.
Lorcan wrote:A great mod and one I plan to do on my 904cc 750. The restrictors on the 750 are only 3mm approx so -3 brake line size hose would do fine and would be lighter too.
Brake line should be fine on the 650/750 motors as they run shell bearing cranks and hence high pressure pumps. The restrictors are there to keep the pressure up for the crank. The 900/1000 etc are roller bearing and run lower oil pressure hence the need for higher volume oil lines.

less leaks for sure but another advantage to external feed lines is that the oil doesnt pick up more heat on its way up through the scorching cyl block, cooler cant hurt!
Run a similar setup in my CB500/4 racer for four season without problems. If you run copper gaskets its almost a must. planned to do it also in my current 750/810 racer build, just run out time, but definitely will add it in the mid season engine check.

Can you tell me more about the banjo fittings and hoses? such as earls part numbers seems to me that when the swivel ends are inserted into the hose the 5mm I/D would be reduced to around 3mm. The I/D in all the banjo's I found is about 2.3mm
I'm missing something here. I sure could use some help on identify the parts needed.
thanks

The hoses are Earls dash 4, They are about 5mm id.
The banjos are also dash 4 to take a 10mm banjo bolt.
I make my own banjo bolts out of m10 capheads ( just because i have them on the shelf) and drill a 5mm bore up the center.
You will have no problems with this set up.
My everyday ride has run perfecly like this for over 10 years now.

Looks very boss AND works better. nice mod. What about rejigging the hard external lines off a suzi 1100 (efe/gsxr??) to save costs.
I'm sure i've seen it done off a boss in cases above timing cover.
...I was going to do so much tonight before i saw your UK forum build.....
