A lot of guys claim going to 20W-50 oil makes the engine run cooler, and most say running syn does as well. You might try running syn 20-50 and see if it does anything. You can use car oil if you don't have it in MC oil.

Watch the std car oil, since it may cause the clutch to slip.
I am kind of leaning towards the lean condition myself, one quick check may be to add a little choke to it while crusing, see if the temp drops

@ 75*F "i m showing 200 degrees after a 30 min ride"...

Hell, I'd be happy with that number... Most automated oil passage temperature sitches I've found switch @ 180*F so you're only 20* above that....

Granted you already have a cooler but can;t remeber how many rows yours had... We're both running approximately the same build except for 60cc displacements... Your cams are .360, mine .365, different carbs but both 29mm with a megaphone exhaust... EI ignition and coils.... Pretty much the same...

Not sure how hot it gets out there but have you tested at 90-95*F ambient temps?

Either case, starting to cool down here in AZ (under 100*F now) where we're only at 97*F :woohoo:  Reseraching an Earls oil cooler now, 7-10 row. I will test once again hopefully ~ 90-95*F to compare recordings. I'll post then...

Would increasing the diameter of the fuel line help to soothe a hot engine?

i think what i m going to do is cut out half the packing on the competition baffle and try to find some happy medium between flow and racket....i thought i had checked plugs after 29 mm install and they looked good...if anything a little rich.....i will recheck them.....thanks guys.......

Your fine Keith. It's just global warming. Btw....what pods are those ? Emgo ? You might be a tad lean. Like Dave, my bike runs very hot around here. I'm too afraid to check it.:woohoo: 20w-50 would be a wise choice also.

Those chaep pods flow way to much unfiltered air causing an extreme lean condition.

The 20W-50 oils don't have the energy conserving crap in them.
