Intake shims 2 & 3 looks worst but they arent. The worst are ex. shims 1 & 3. See variations in thickness on them.
Cams lobes are perfect, there arent any signs of wear on them. Grinded side of shims was laying on valve tappets.
And yes, I will replace them all.

Replace... Excellent!
Wonder is some of that filings made it's way down into the valve guides thus improper valve operations/lubrication's thus engine noise... Interesting indeed...
BTW, I found out the Triumph shims (29mm diameters) are the same as the KZ's...
Since being in Europe, would think you'd be able to find a local dealership no prob....
Found a local source here at the Triumph dealership... $6 each... Sweet!
Jeff @ Z1 has them as well, pretty much the same price minus shipping costs...

(Quoted from earlier in post) Few days ago I took off alternator cover but I didnt pull off rotor and starter clutch. I have visualy inspected is anything broke or loose and the only thing that seemed suspicious, big gear behind starter clutch has a little left-right play (direction rotor-casing)maybe 1-2mm
I dont know is it suposed to be ok or not. Everything works.
The big gear behind the starter clutch is supposed to have a rubber damper between the gear and the case to put a little bit bit of drag on the gear. If the rubber damper is in place, there would not be 1-2mm play. Don't know if that is the origin of your noise or not, but that doesn't sound right.

Yes, I know, but that gear is not spining when engine is working so I think that its not source of that knocking.

But, could the gear possibly be moving back and forth making the noise?

That is uncool, do you have another oil pump. I'd install a oil pressure gauge at the base of the block and pull the oil pump & replace it with one that is 100% good, just for peace of mind, I'd hate to see you blow up that engine over a $25 part. Regards, Doug
