Reminds me of when I learned that drinks and bikes don't mix too well......
Back in the early 80"s when I was still living in Scotland, we used to ride out this beautiful twisty, hilly road that could conjure up thoughts of an Isle of Mann TT race. About 7-8 miles from home was a great little pub that was always packed with bikes. We would stop after the ride out and back and juice up on cold brews. Drinking and driving was then not thought of as a crime to make a social pariah, but more a laugh. Well this time I got so wasted that I dropped my keys somewhere in the pub and we could not find them - so one of the guys gave me a ride home. Just as well...... There was a single lane humped back bridge about a half mile form the pub - on a corner to boot. After stopping to allow a car to pass my friend ripped away catching me completely unaware and I flew off the back. He rode all the way home, apparently forgetting that he had misplaced a passenger. Ended up walking back to the pub and calling my Dad to come get me. turned out the keys were in my pocket all the time - just couldn't locate them in the haze. I guess the BIG MAN upstairs was looking out for me.
