Going across the Mojave desert at 117 degrees the cooler on my 82 GPZ750 sure felt like it was needed. I was waiting for it to just lock up and slide to a halt the motor was so hot. I tired holding my hand behind it and lasted 2 seconds. I was worried until a harley pulling a trailer riding 2 up came by at 80. Must have been like a nuclear reactor inside it as far as heat. I have one on my big bore KZ but I doubt a stocker needs one. The 1105/900 makes some serious heat
