We've been getting new riders here lately. I was hoping to start a dialog with them so others could share their experiences and maybe save them from the same fate.

Tried that a few times Steve, usually get a defensive, even abusive reply, Unless they ask, its not worth the crap, a lot of people just won't accept that they are doing anything wrong until they come to grief, even then some don't, or won't accept fault.... :huh: It blows my mind just how many people ride bikes, some for years, and still really have no idea how to control a bike properly, I suppose the same could be said for a lot of car drivers as well, I'm sure we all have a "car" story.... I highly recommend rider training courses, even for people riding for years, most people can still learn something from one, and you get to practice what you've learned on a track, with no oncoming traffic or obstacles, no point being a know all or hero on a motorcycle, you're just an accident waiting to happen....... Point fixation and poor braking skills are the mistakes that seem to be most common, not paying enough attention is another ...
