It's an inherent human trait to discriminate. That's what most wars and hate is based on. Discrimination is illegal here and most of the free world so some will find another way. I'm a smoker, I pay more in daily taxes than anyone that doesn't and I'm not allowed close to most businesses and government areas.
I ride a Kawasaki, it's only after 40 years my bike is getting the respect it deserves. There will always be narrow minded people, I just don't have to deal with them. I started this thread not to bash hogs, (they don't need the help) and I didn't do it to provide a place for foul mouthed stupid remarks ether.
When I showed the one that fathered me my new Z1, all he said was. "I'd buy a Sportster." He never did. He died not knowing me or the freedom I have enjoyed riding.
His loss.

That's crazy, but a heavily modified Harley, with an nearly 100% aftermarket engine. Here is a [strike]bone[/strike] mostly stock Kawi for comparison.

Still has factory warranty too... :P

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Apparently I must run with a very unharley harley group. I can honestly say when another brand is mentioned there is nothing but positive comments. I have been on rides with 40 or more in a group and if we meet another rider on whatever kind of bike all hands go in the air to wave. If. We meet up with other riders in a gas station, restaurant, etc most of us wander over to check it out and talk to the owners. Some of our group has wandered off to another brand, from bmw to royal Enfield, and none of them are excommunicated. I feel sorry for narrow minded individuals that feel the need to bash others based on their personal preferences. I'm even sorry that a fellow Canuck has taken this approach and for that I feel I should apologize.

I don't live to ride, I ride to live.

"Just came across some braggart boasting at Home Depot about how he out ran a Ninja at 136 MPH"

Thats nothing Steve - had a farkwit tell me his R6 did 330 km/h/ 205 mp/h - havnt seen him again to ask if he had it up to 500 km/h yet - just as likely ! Why say that - just confirms one thing

Yeah, you're right Mick. I was just venting about a blow hard and started this. Some pretty good pics came from it though. Anyone got footage of the big fours in the 70/80"s? Small fours would be cool too.
