- The chrome don't get you home
like Joe said it really brings back fond memories
I had one of the first Kz650 Customs in Chicago, put my money down in 76 and had to wait ....and wait...
All Winter I was talking trash with my supervisor who had his GS 750 on order, that was a long Winter
When it finally came in they had the blue one that I ordered and a silver one , the guy that got the silver one first tried to pull a switch on me and when that didn't work he tried to grease me a hundred bucks to trade him,
No way!
I loved that bike , sadly I was young and stupid and got into a lot of trouble , I ended up selling it in 79 , at the time it was probably a good idea.
It is great to see such a well cared for machine that is still on the road, hats off to you, I hope some day that I will be able to see it in person.
By the way My supervisor got his GS right around the same time I got my bike so we went out on a fresh factory road at lunch time and I kicked his ass

I rode with a bunch of 900's and 1000's and kept up pretty well until we really got cookin.
I wasn't passing any body but they couldn't shake me either, everyone had a lot of respect for that bike.
A buddy had a 74 900 that was totally stock and insanely fast back then, that one forget about it,
to this day it was the fastest thing I have ever ridden, of course I haven't rode on anything newer then mid 80's  besides big twins

I hope you all are enjoying having Eds 650 as our June BOTM
It is a very deserving machine and is a 1rst class example of a well maintained and cared for Kaw.
You all have till July to enjoy seeing it grace our home page
Then I will be posting the July BOTM which is already being inputted into our system.
I will never reveal a BOTM early , but I can guarantee It will be another fine example of a KZ
