These were taken just when turning off of 160 to the road that goes to 4 Corners. The pics don't do justice to the real thing. This is beautiful country.

Theses were taken while I was at the 4 Corners site. The Monument is in the Navajo Reservation so the tribe operates the monument. They charge $5 a head to get in and there are vendors there with some very nice Indian Art and jewelry to get the rest of your cash. They ony got $40 additional from me. They'll get more when I go back in August.

These were taken on the way back in Northeren New Mexico. The area aroung Chama is especially beatiful and is not far from Ute Bluff Lodge. My route back took me through Teec Nos Pas, AZ, Farmington, NM (boring), The road got very intersting east of Farmington. Lots of up and down , back and forth with beatiful scenery. You start climbing with twisties til you ears pop and it gets cold then make a turn at the summit and a broad valley scene opens up and more twisties on the way down. This is repeated from Bloomfield to Taos many times. Outstanding, even in a cage.

I didn't go north of Ute bluff at all. There wasn't enough time. The highway goes way up into central Colorado in the Rockies. I'm sure there is some spectacular sights and roads to ride. I wll surely go that way in August.

The ride to and from 4 Corners is going to be a long day riding We better leave camp early.

I just reserved a room from the 4th to the 10th. :woohoo: Let the games begin.
A list of things I was planning on would start with the river and doing some canoeing or rafting. Hiking, Possibly fishing, that train ride thing looks appealing. OMG, the riding of course. :P
I am getting my bike prepped and ready for the ride. Was thinking of possibly trailering my kz and riding the z1r. That sounds like a good time!
Who here is in with me for a day of canoeing? Or train ride? We have to do some hiking too!

I have not made any reservations but im still going. Even if they fill up there has to be a town somewhere with a hotel. I might not even make it all the way there so I cant plan that far ahead. Will bring title for bike along and sell the dam thing if i hurt that bad and fly home.. Just sent my head off too larry yesterday so the bike will run better and keep up with you kids.

If you made a reservation online, it would not surprise me that you did not receive a discount. I suggest picking up a phone and calling the owners listed on the website and in my Post #1. They will give you the discount. Should be out there about the same time. Maybe do some canoeing, hiking or some such. Definitely some riding! :woohoo:
