helmet???

oh yeah right. Considering our No Fault law that will pay FOREVER, uncapped with no prognosis for improvement...
it is priced on top of my regular insurance. It cost 215.00 per antique bike, to have this unlimited coverage.
each car each bike. maybe with no helmet just a burial fee? thats what worries me!

shoei...and forget about it.....ask anyone who had one...xl...xxl..L...m....they fit like the size should...are reasonably quiet and are tough and comfortable....anything else ...anything....is at best a second best.....

on ebay you can find shoie x-11's worn a few times...sold bike ...ect....way good deals......get 4-700 helmet for 3-400 and a new condition shoie is better than any other brand ,brand new....read the owner reviews....like guzzi said if you got a long thin head...arai...if you got a melon..shoei

Again, there's no such thing as a "best" helmet brand - it comes down to what feels good. Shoei helmets fit different than Arai, different than Bell. You can adjust pads to make a mediocre helmet fit better, but if you don't try something else on, you won't find the helmet that fits best.

For my head, there is nothing as painful as Shoeis. In fact, I cannot even stand to keep them on for 5 seconds. Pure torture. Arais are OK, AGV high-end models great. For me. Your head may differ.

I was just talking with the manager of my local Cycle Gear and he has a brand new carbon fiber Bell that he couldn't stop raving about. Said it was better than a $800 Shark he had before this one. Stable at 160mph and incredibly light weight. The $500 price tag is out of my price range right now. He said they have a $300 version that is carbon and fiberglass and it's barely a step down.

I wasted good money on a Shoei that could have bought me two Scorpions. I was the most uncomfortable helmet I've worn until I tried a HJC FS15. Does not fit me properly.

My good ole Shoei fits my grotesquely oversized head well and is comfortable. But for maximum safety, the helmet below offers excellent protection. Primarily because car drivers tend to shy away from you when your wearing it.

I know the guy pretty well and he knows I don't want a new helmet, he wasn't trying to sell it to me. It was his personal helmet and we were shooting the shit. But go back to your blind faith in Shoei, nothing to see here.
