I never meant to bash anyone's bikes I was just saying I think my KZ 1000 I paid $1500 is a nicer ride than the super glide with a price more than 10X what I paid. I really don't understand the HD following when other bikes are much more enjoyable.

Have enjoyed owning and riding several Harleys.
But someone has always come along who wanted it more than I did.
Usually made a profit, and never lost money on any of them. :cheer:

If Harley Davidson made an airplane, would you fly in it?

Good Fortune! :)

i was talking to my neighbor the other day.
he has a real nice 68 nova with a smallblock that turns 7200 rpms,he's a street racer.
he was looking my z1r over and asking about my swingarm and rear wheel conversion when a harley rider goes by.
he goes
"i wouldn't mind riding a harley,but i don't want to dress like a pirate to do it!"

hahaha,i was rollin

i own bikes from several countries and can find one of any brand i would want to own.

I'm the first one to waive the Kawasaki flag, believe me, but some of you guys must have never rode a HD or only rode a friggin hard tail. My Z1-B rides just as harsh as my 76 FL/FX did. Yeah, I can lean farther on the Kaw and it's a crap load faster but both bikes rode harsh. And talking about price tags? I just saw a 73 Z1 sell on Ebay for like $15 grand, it was rusty and missing a bunch of parts. Any other bike would have been between a fixer-upper and a parts bike. Sporty's spew gobs of torque and are a blast to ride (although I'd never own one-lol).

This was my creation. A 76 FX mixed with a 55 FL. Old meets new.

Attitudes. That's the lemmings' problem, attitudes.

Oh, you say that's doesn't exist? Yeah, right. How many times have you heard, "So, when are you going to 'move up' to a HOG?" Move up? Excuse me? I'll buy what I please and not get insecure when someone else dares to not ride/dress exactly like me. Another problem the lemmings share is they ride exactly alike. Is there some school that teaches them or is it monkey see, monkey do? And then the majority of them are so self absorbed that they come to the conclusion that EVERYONE enjoys their loud pipes crapola at all hours.

Owning a HOG is the highest demonstration of insecurity.

Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.
Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.
