Then I noticed a small dent in the #4 primary tube. Seller must have overlooked disclosing that one.....hmmmmmmmm
I don't believe it will affect performance, just an asthetic drawback

Then there were 2 small pinholes in the bottom 2 primaries near the collector. Again, the seller must have accidentally overlooked disclosing that one too.....Luckily, that was the last of the "problems" not disclosed int he auction

I was AMAZED at the size of the collector/muffler tubing size. I had read it was 3",but I wasn't prepared for how BIG it would look in person   :P

Oh yes, one more item the seller omitted- the Yoshimura emblem on the tailpipe had one pin sheared off

At least the core is in good shape. The packing was non-existant, but it was straight and complete

Well, a lot of it is fixable and won't be very visible when mounted. The dent in the #4 is a bummer, may be difficult to pull out. You are right about the 30yr old parts, but calling that pipe in "good shape" like the seller did, is pushing it if you ask me. Been there, done that...

With regards to the dent, I believe I can weld a stud on there and use a slide hammer to pull it out......mostly

It would be interesting to try a perf tube baffle in your yoshi pipe. I did some dyno testing comparing perf tube vs louvered silencers and the found for the same size diameter a perf tube flows much better than a louvered tube. I have a Kerker KR on my MKII and built my own aluminum tail pipe. Originally I used a Yosh competion baffle, but then switched to perf tube. Seemed to have alot more power with the perf tube.

Looks the same as the street baffle, just larger diameter. I don't remember the diameter I would have to measure my end cap ID to know for sure. I removed the Yoshi steel end cap so I could slip the baffle into an aluminum can with aluminum end cap.

What size perf tube did you go with, and how much louder did it get?
