I got my series II yosh for $63 shipped to Canada. What a deal that was, cost me a grand total of $12 for the actual pipe.

When was this? Now it is a small fortune to ship anything over about four pounds and in a box over the normal 108" to ship. Some poor guy in Australia wanted my Bassani pipe that was 19 pounds and the post office would not even take it unless it was shipped express mail Intl for about $380 postage. Another guy in england the same way. The postage rules have changed about three times in this last year which makes it almost impossible to ship big AND heavy packages internationally. I don't know how Larry C. still dose it???

Canada and the US have a better relationship for mailing stuff. It was only about two years ago.

Yes, two years ago things were not yet so expensive to ship. Today, any package over 4# or 36" L+W+H must go Priority Mail Intl. And any package over 108" must go Express mail Int. This as I said just changed within the last year or less. A year and a half ago I sent some very large packages to Europe for still a reasonable price. Now it is impossible.

Yes that is the truth. MAC changed the design a bit for the better. They made the collector a bit smaller to make the mid range better. They also made the muffler can a tiny bit longer to quiet it down some more. They kept the can the same diameter to keep the same crisp sound, and they also shifted the collector off center to allow for oil filter access, and center stand retention. As a street pipe the MAC has all the advantages and none of the disadvantages of the Yoshi. The only thing some people do not like is the look of the transition between the can and the collector of the MAC. At first I did not either. After a while it did not bother me so much.

I have noticed the shipping has gotten worse, still not overly terrible yet. I think I'm done with the big stuff for my bike now thank god.

I just checked and that package would have been $55 to Canada. Anywhere else it would have been well over $350. That is 20# in a 18x18x18 box. I just went into the garage and noticed one thing. The 650 pipe and the 1000 pipe are quite a bit different in size and weight. I shipped 1 1000 pipe and a Bassani which is longer and heavier yet than the Yoshi.

A Yoshi in any words is a good score.

There's so much mail traffic between these countries I guess it keeps costs down. Back to Yoshi. When you say that mac shifted the collector off center, is that on the series III? My pipe appears to have the collector dead center.

Adam, looks like you got a good deal there. What happened to the undertail exhaust? Are you just using this as a starting point? What exhaust was on your bike when it was running?

MAC did not do any changes until they took over the design in the late 90s or so and put their name on it. All the Yoshi's had the centered collector and lost the center stand.

Great score! Wait till you get that sucker on the bike and fired up. Then you'll know it was worth twice what you paid for it! congrats, Tom
