my original actualy ride just mmeant for a ride...not mandatory iron but...although....posts tend to get wings of their own...which is cool.....i am digging seeing bikes included that i may not have wheighed in on....that's one of the GREATEST aspects of this group of riders(KZR) that being that I don't sit and watch MY own views and values get repeated back to ME...and sometimes I can come away from a viewing seeing a new angle i mighta missed.....
Recently some members have pointed out the harley bashing as a seperator/mean spirited.....even though i get my harley jokes in...i've learned here that not all harley guys are posers or vikings....
h-2
bimota kawi
and elr1100 84 are ones i could swap a top ten for....least i named ten......CHEATERS:blink:

As far as riding a fat lady I think better of a convertible. My brother's 69 ghia was a sweet ride to San Francisco and down through the twisties of highway one all the way to Laguna Hills where the car now resides. I will never ever ever ever ever ever forget that ride. That was one sweetarse car that made VW Trends many years back. Everyone kept asking me if it was the new porsche model that they hadn't seen yet. I asked the "Really?!" I guess not too many people have seen a ghia before. Just the sound of the engine after 3000 miles was a transcendental experience. But a fat lady? I rode my friends and hugely didn't like how comfortable it was. You could seriously fall asleep on his. He had cruise control, air conditioning, radio, refridgerator, microwave and a number of other amenities that make roughing it totally useless. Every time the bike rode by a Dairy Queen or Tasti Freeze it pulled really hard and I had to fight it from trying to make a pit stop. But all joking aside that huge fairing took all the wind off of your face, which incidentally is a big appeal to me, and when it was windy I felt like I was para-sailing.

I am seriously thinking about that zx14
Ducati has impressed me but not the new monsters just the old school liquid cooled ones. Hmmmmm a nice older busa completely worked over with nice wheels paint and stretched. Maybe the new streetfighter?
I don't think I could come up with ten bikes but here they would be.
1. zx 14 which I will end up by next year buying
2. zrx12 mild to heavily modded
3. certainly a liquid cooled monster the last year before they bastardized them.
4. the Ducati Street fighter, perhaps
5. My bike
6. The new BMW 1000 is shaping up from what I have read to pique my curiousity
7. I have always fantasized about riding a bike with a sidecar.
Seven is a lucky number. I think I will stay with that as my final response.

So I forgot the z1r 8 and the old school worked over busa hmmmmm maybe two more I for sure would own and ride again my zr11009. and....The funny part is that I own all the bikes I love to ride.
For the final 10 I would give both my testicles to find and own any of my dad's old bikes especially his 67 BMW just because I have that yearning to experience the feelings and experiences that bike gave him.
God, I really miss my dad... he turned me on to one of the special experiences in life that most people never experience. How about all of you guys? How did you all get in to riding.
God bless my father for passing the disease of two wheels and women for I have had my share and then some.
I could say music but then I took that to a whole other level that would have left my father envious of me. But I guess country music doesn't technically leave a lot of room for creativity musically speaking. Just good ol times and drunken moments which my father knew well. The music I kept, the drinking I dispensed with.

#1 The CR&S Vun
I first saw this bike at the Isle of Mann in 2007, it was the coolest production bike on the island during the TT. This bike looks fantastic from any angle, and the build quality is as high as the new Bimota's.

LMFAO! He was thinking he was in for a fun ride later. You gave him that tip touching look that all the short guys go for. Hey, I don't remember any chinamen by us when you got on that bike. As I recall it was I the fly who took that picture. Were you fantasizing again about jumping in to a hot tub full of china men again. Damn Tri you better lay off of all those overtime hours. You are beginning to mix fiction with reality. :woohoo: trianglelaguna wrote:

 Yeah they were all looking at you thinking "Shit that guy's a gonner...."
I actually drove a new one, Jesus H Friggin Christ those bikes are nuts. I owned an older one and the new one has been put on some laboratory grade steroids. Way to unweildy to be a sport bike, and much heavier than the old one. Still way too much fun to be legal though. You roll the throttle on hard and the back end goes all over hell on you, and then when it hooks up the front wheel starts to jump, then ist time to shift, and the same shit happens all over again.
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

10. 1967 Honda CB77 Superhawk - 400cc twin for short commutes and back road blasts. Dual leading shoe front brakes!
9. 2005 BMR R1150R - Its already in the stable and its a great long distance mount. THe power brakes are a conversation point.
8. 1973 BMW R75/5 for daily riding - I just think it looks cool.
7. 1978 KZ1000 - also in the stable. When we were young these were *the* super bike that the cool teenagers owned.
6. 1984 GPZ900r - high speed thrills!
5. 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 - looks like a fun ride, but I'm having issues with the transformer type looks.
4. 1990's Kawasaki KLR650 - dual purpose thumper, 'nuff said.
3. 1970's SOHC honda CB750 - I wouldn't really ride one of the sandcasts.
2. Early Ducati Monster
1. 60's British twin - just to practice my electrical troubleshooting skills!
Seriously though, 10 bikes is a lot. I think I'd be happy with 4-5 of these....
