I would rather ride an H2 than a Gold Wing. If I was worried about vibration and wind, I'd just drive my car.

I still have a H2 I've had for 31yrs and yes they were and are a fun bike and look cool definately, but for everyday riding they are a little bit off the mark obviously by todays standards. Vibration is high, handling not all that great, brakes not all that great, working on and syncing 3 separate carbs with 3 separate throttle and choke cables, 3 separate fuel lines, 3 separate oil lines on later H2,3 separate idle speed adjusts and no vacuum ports can be a bear. Two other things seldom mentioned is neutral at the bottom of the shift sequence instead of between 1-2 is really hard to get used too and a H2 is geared really high in 1st gear, about like taking off in second gear on a KZ650 so major slipping of the clutch in stop/go traffic is mandatory.
I still love the old H2 but they had shortcomings for sure and a Z1 or KZ1000 is way easier to ride and enjoy if you like the old Kawasakis.
I enjoy doing the highway miles anymore and the goldwing just can't be beat for that on 2 wheels. I'd rather walk than take a car trip, so goldwing works for me to rack the miles and I'm highly looking forward to summer.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
