well guys, i own both kaws and hondas, actually i have a little of everything. i have a 1974 honda cb750k chopper with a 836 piston kit. stock carbs, points ignition, no porting to the head. i also have a 77 kz900 and 77 kz1000. i personally think that in a heads up race the honda wouldnt win but give em one hell of a race! honda has awesome power in the midrange but no off the line power. i guess to me i wouldnt count the cb750 out. they have great horsepower potential. and come on guys dont beat on the honda owners, you starting to sound like harley owners!

I have nothing against the honda guy, but the thing is HE sounds like a harley guy. Telling me all this stuff about how hondas are superior to everything else, and how kawasaki just sucks and that nothing can touch his bike.

sometimes when i meet guys that tell me they "had" this bore kit in "that" bike...and then the stories start...about how he could beat this bike or crashed doing 150 mph...or can catch bullets in his teeth from 50 ft.....i gotta smile and remind myself what kinda folks it takes to wanna ride a motorcycle in the first place....
if i had a dollar for every mouth runner i've had tell me about their"cool" bike i could buy a kerker new in the box....bench racing.....like you said the bike has'nt ridden 100 miles in arow since he's had it...probably only runs good 25% of the time also....

at least you had the forsight to listen with a half smile and not unload both barrles on him at once....and better...you did not try and take the bike around the block after a few beers...great story though....some guys provide a lot of humor when they are serious like your friend...lol

I'm pretty honest, myself. I'll tell anyone the top speed of my HD Shovelhead is 75 mph. Any faster than that, parts start falling off.

Yes, the vibration is that bad.

My Evo Softail is a bit smoother. I can do about 90 before parts start falling off.

A little fuel for your fire ...kawasaki started out building airplain engines and that is why they are far more superior to any other motorcycle! Would you want to be flying through the air on a honda or lets say a harly? you do the math or let drunkenhondaguy do it, you better give him a calculater.:woohoo:

I've thought of putting a:

The parts that fall off this motorcycle are proudly made in the USA

sticker on my HD. But then I figured some idiot would take it the wrong way and beat me up, so I decided not to.
