I am doing what i detest doing. Polish.

I have a big polisher but i am not going to take parts off to polish them.

This job is a pain in the bahoosie.

I got the right tools but it takes time. I even polished the bottom of the stator.

That's just one piece !!!

Now the stator.

i let my daughter do all the polishing
she will go through a whole tube of autosol in one
sitting :laugh: but keeps her quiet for hrs.

so i surget you get the grand kids round to help granpar.

roy your have the old girl all shinny and new in no time and it will only cost you a ice cream or two

Lookin good roy! If you just want a fairly nice shine I'd suggest Mr Buffer , works well on aluminium and mags and most any metal, I used it on the engine covers on this 750


Now you just have to get started on the petcock


and clutch cover


(Don't ask how much time I spent on those, I hate to see grown men cry :laugh: )

Hey i got some liquid polish for that last pass.

I get it off a guy in Effingham,Il. It's called Rebel Polish.

It is a three step process, Rub it on,rub it off,and jump back and say WOW look at that shine!!:laugh:

Now you're talking....looky-looky there.... Ain't she purdy!

Roy, that clutch cover is beautiful... And the petcock, is that chromed, on wait, it's buffed OEM! It can't be, say it isn't so..... :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Now for the real fun.... Seriously, looks fantastic and the hard part is over...

As in my case, just throw a little hand polish on the buffed parts every couple of weeks or so and she's right back to BLING after I buffed her out.

What polish (not buffing compounds) are you using?

Sweet old man, guarantee you will get some on lookers who will walk up and say, "Wow that looks awesome"... And I mean this... Happens all the time on mine... Seriously! :woohoo:

don't do it roy please don't do it flat black and wrinkle finish is the way buddy your gonna get hooked just like the old guy from arizona for your own sake stop there please. :huh: :silly: :S
