I would like to ride it next week but we are working from daylight to dark.
It even had the owners manual.
I don't like the 80 MPH speedo but i have one from a "79" with the same blue numerals.
There is a lot of surface rust and the forks are pitted. I have a front end off a "80" Classic. It has the bracket for the Kawasaki plate on the triple tree.
Now i have to buy parts for two bikes from Jeff. I bet he is happy to see me buy it.
Got to call Rob today. Thier site seems to be down. Roy

After replacing the ignitor we fired the bike up.
Had oil comming out of the blow by.
Drained the oil and there was over two gallons in the engine. Adjusted oil level and no oil out the blowby.
The tube in the picture was what the PO had on the blowby or crank case breather if you prefer.
The oil in the pan was what i removed from the engine and still the crank case is full.:S

When i picked the bike up the owners dad told me his first bike was a KZ 900.
I am working 14 hour days and barley had time to get it to the car wash.
I took the carbs to the field and tore them down while i was waiting on the applicator driver. They were clean. Will have to rejet.
I paid $400.00 Roy
Oooh, I got KZ envy. Nice catch Roy.

...over two gallons in the engine
Are you serious, 2 gallons!
Was there gas mixed in it as well....
No wonder you got this bike so cheap... The PO most probably thought there was something seriously wrong with this motor so cheap asking price was required....
Unbelievable good fortune for you... Damn it, why don't I find dumb asses like this....
Again... SCORE for Roy!

A friend called last night and he had found pictures from the first meet we had in Ohio. Should be some nice photos of Jeff,Doug, and who ever. It was the first time i met people in person that i had met first on the internet.
That was clean oil in the bike no gas. I guess he thought it was a good way to store the engine???
It is a pain to have to work on the bike in my friends shop but it is nice to have the extra help. We started on the frame yesterday and spent 5 hours with wire brushes and paint remover. Got about 98 percent of paint removed.
