it's to bad that you have to get rid of it in the time of one our worst rescions or as i call it depressions in history.

It's a crappy time to sell anything. All you need is one right buyer. I suggest you put more information in you footer, like where you're from etc.

List the bike on ebay. You will get better money for the bike. There are kawasaki freaks that watch eBay daily looking for a bike like this. If you need $1500.00 for the bike then put you reserve at $1500.00.

I sold my Honda 70 on craigslist. I got a lot of the same kind of idiot responses and low bids. the next week it sold at my asking price of $1200 - no attempted haggling - just thanks.

I would try ebay with a $4000 reserve, 10 day auction, local pick-up. The key is tell the bikes story, Full description and to have lots of good pictures.

big giant pics, and lots of them. i always hate auctions that show two pictures of the bike ten feet away. close up high detail pics really help the buyer to know what they are getting into, and what the value is.
1982 Kawasaki KZ 750LTD. i wanted the big boy 1000, but there's like a billion of these 750 ltds running around. so what the hey!

I lucked out when I got my 77 last year for $1600. 13k on the clock and the only thing not original was the paint. (Sorry Ron). Around here Pacific Northwest, they sellers think they have bikes made of gold and ask top dollar for junk.

That bike is worth 3K all day long, even in today's economy. The value is in the Original condition. Paint, chrome, exhaust. Hard to find those. At the very least somebodys ditched the exhaust and put a pipe on it.

There are plenty of Kaw guys that will give you that or very close to it. Hang on for a few weeks and see what shakes out.

Then as last resort put it on Ebay with a 3K reserve, who knows, you might get more........

2 years ago I needed money asap & couldn't get $2500 for my very nice '78 black kz1000. Times are tough right now. I'd list it on ebay with the lowest amount you'll take and see what happens. NOW is the best time to sell........
