Mid-Ohio Vintage Days July 25-27 2008

I have my tickets! Looks like we will be going down there early on Friday - I'm looking forward to meeting some of you for the first time!

Can't wait. I doubt I will bring much to sell this year but you never know what I will end up with between now and then. I have not had a chance to work on any bikes in a few months so who knows if my KZ will even be ready by then. If not I will just bring the Triumph since they are the marquee bike this year. I will also bring the TC100 turd so I have something to ride around the mud with. Of course everyone is welcome to come grab it if they need to go across the gounds and don't feel like walking. Just promise you will bring it back with all the rust still intact.

Slacker!!! :laugh: I'm starting to get ready as well, I just ordered some bits and pieces from Z-1 Ent. yesterday that I need to finish up a few bikes. Not entirely sure what I'm gonna bring yet. The KZ900 is a for sure and I'm most likely gonna bring the 80 650 F as well just for something to ride around. I should bring about 5 or 6 and try to have a herd reduction sale but that would require some effort on my part.:laugh: :ohmy:

Andy, From the previous years that i have seen you in action i don't see you having a herd reduction sale.

I've got to get a couple of tables. i am not bringing any parts what so ever. Maybe.

Roy knowing you, even if you don't bring parts to sell I'm sure you will buy some stuff there just so you can re-sell it there.:laugh: You my friend are a born huckster and I mean that in a good way. I still have the front sprocket I bought from you 2 years ago. You are so good I didn't even know I was buying it. I still haven't gotten around to putting it on anything, hell I don't even remember what bike I bought it for. But you did convince me I needed it.:S

I am with you Roy. This year I am going to consentrate more on the whole experience instead of trying to sell stuff. I say that now but watch me show up with 4 bikes and a trailer full of parts.

I was surfing the youtube today and typed in mid ohio and there was a clip about two guys buying parts. They stopped at fence"5" and bought a hard bag from the fellows I buy spark plugs from. On one shot you can see my area and the yellow Tracy body i bought for 20 bucks and resold it the next year for 200 bucks.

I'll be there again, working at the Triumph demo truck. In case you had not heard Triumph is offering VIP demo rides each day on the race track. They are being offered on ebay with the proceeds going to the Red Flag Fund for injured racers. here are the links for the info.

Sorry, no spoiler here.

I tried to order my ticket today by calling the ticket office. I told the girl I wanted a weekend pass and asked if it was $35.00 and she said yes plus shipping. I then said cant she just leave it at will call and I'd pick it up? She said let me check, a couple of minutes later she came back and said not until next Monday. WTF now I have to remember to call back next Monday because I see no point in spending $7.99 to have a ticket Fedexed to me that I can pickup when I arrive.
