What were you using as a work table in that first photo? :)

I was working on the bike with my (at the time) girlfriends little brother. Caught the now ex girlfriend cheating (1.5 years down the drain) so I have relocated the bike.

If I remember correctly it was a 58 Buick we were using as a bench.

Would you really rather have a Buick work bench? ... ..... Buick

I'm beginning to understand the one carb after seeing the two hogs in the background. I doubt any performance gain, perhaps less. WTF, it's only a 440.
Be interested in seeing how it turns out.

I am not quite sure what you mean by that. I'm doing the carb conversation because it seemed to be the easiest way to get the bike running.

The stock carbs on the bike refuse to work without the stock airbox, which is missing and damn near impossible to find.

Yeah, those CV carbs are a bitch to work on. When they work, they handle altitude changes and are stingy on gas. When they don't they'll take all your money. It's best to keep them of possible.

Got the new manifold last night. I put it on this morning and managed to get the bike to start after several tries.

It revved super high, then refused to start again. Time to read up and learn how to tune the mikuni!

I have been having issues with her boging and dying mid to WOT. I'm thinking the main jet is the problem. I'm at a 150 now, going to try to get my hands on a 140 hopefully that will fix things up.
