Lookin good. you may want to take an exacto and trim down the outside of the gaskets for a bit cleaner look.

Could match color-coding with other parts.

That would look sharp. I'm wanting it to be orange and black. The controls on it now are for my other bike just wanted to see how drag bars would look.

Painted the wheels and it was easier then the one man wrestling match that was getting the tires on. Wife came out and seen me right when I let out my conquering war cry. With my foot atop the rear wheel like I just beheaded some evil demon and saved the world... It was a awkward moment but, she said "wow those look good!" So I let another war cry out and called it a day in the shop.
self etching primer + duplicolor wheel paint = awesome.
not sure if you can see all the metal flake but, they glisten.
Had to pose for another war cry.
Manifold came in as well. Looks sharp. 11thhourindustries.com/
Need a smaller cable. 2001 cr250 is to long. Better go with a cr80.
How she sits at this moment in time. I need to move the battery box back to the tire about an inch and a half. Just to make sure I have clearance for the new carb setup.
And this is how you finish the day. (Ride before, drink after)

I placed the motor in the frame and I was relieved that I didn't have to move the battery box back. Down side is the back bone needs a trim. So the motor is pulled again and the frame is getting the good old cleaning. So paint frame and tank and create the seat. So far about 30 hours in the bike all together.
Looking good thus far.

Re: Kz440 resurrections

So this weekend I got the starter motor that was rebuilt for about 45 dollars. Started throwing the rest of the bike together. And painted the tank with a spray gun (first time). So after being deflowered on the spray gun I got a little cocky and tried the clear coat and it ran. So now waiting for it to dry and get it looking good next weekend. Now the finished product in my mind is as follows. I have a set of side panels off a csr250 that will be black. Frame is going to get a few mounts cut off and be repainted black as well. Hand controls are red right now but, thinking black drag bars with about the same set up just not colored red. Then the new wire setup because the old one had been hacked, slashed and shorted to each other in multiple spots.
Here's to the build!
