Black grips and have the master cylinder for the front brake in some acid to get rid of the red color. Now to install the side panels and make an awesome seat for this little beastro. Almost there just in time for winter! Yes!

Acid may be harmful to surface of the piston bore.

Would consider thoroughly rinsing off all the acid, and soaking the master cyinder in "brake fluid" to remove the red color (presumably some type of paint).

Good Fortune! :)

Acid is also harm full to aluminum. Try Pinesol, just a touch of acid.
It cleaned cases and carbs really well. Should work on an aluminum
master cylinder.

Should've worded better. Just the cap for the brake fluid reservoir. And the little bracket. And the "acid" is aluminum wheel cleaner. So just to take the paint off with baking soda on stand by to stop that stuff.

Got the frame cleaned up. And the motor in. Jumped the starter to make sure everything is kosher before hand. Made the seat pan and it looks iffy now but, when the foam is on there she'll be pretty. Should be done in a few. Approx 45 hours.

Started the bike after getting the starter and coil energized. The bike started right up and stayed running smooth. I let it run for about 5 minutes then checked the new spark plugs and they look identical and rich as all get out. So I need to tune the main jet and get it dialed in. The motor hasn't ran in about a decade so it was stinky like a burnt up rats nest just got blown out of the exhaust. I am way to excited about it and that carb makes for crisp feel on the motor even though it runs like a dog at the moment. I also elected to put a bump stop seat on the bike and putting all electrics in there with a anti gravity battery I use at work for the wind turbines. (Yes I get permission to use them).

BUMP STOP! FYI fiberglass resin and cloth is kind of a mess. By mess I mean Christmas vacation tree sap. I need to figure out how to get the battery in there but, that'll be some other day. That seat makes it look a big meaner then the original idea. (And yes she'll be getting proper exhaust and a uni air filter)
