This photo is of the very last time I raced my Kz1000. It was taken at I.R.P. back in 1985 or 1986 at a WERA race weekend.
1972 H2 750 Cafe Racer built in 1974.
1976 KH400 Production Road Racer.
1979 Kz1000 MK. II Old AMA/WERA Superbike.
1986 RG500G 2 stroke terror.
1986 GSXR750RG The one with the clutch that rattles!
Up in the hills near Prescott, Az.

1980 LTD 1000..,1976 LTD 900, have the 1000&900 now. the rest are previous= 1978 KZ 650 B.., 1980 Yamaha XT 500..,1978 Yamaha DT 400.., 1977 Yamaha yz 80..,Honda trail ct 70.., Honda QA 50...5-1/2 hp brigs & straton CAT chopper mini bike...3-1/2 hp mini bike (WHEN GAS WAS ABOUT 45 CENTS A GALLON)!!!!

Formula 1 starts tonight from Melbourne. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Back then, I got my frame and swing arm from Pierre DesRoches of the Vetter Kawasaki fame. Then I just looked around at all the other bikes and saw what worked the best, and I copied it. No use copying the 10th place bike. I used to take rolls of film at Daytona, then run back home and buy or make what I saw down there in time for my season to start back in the Midwest.
Now that I look back most of the top privateer Kawasaki's running in AMA Superbike mostly ran the same thing. Look at Chuck Parme's KZ1000. He was the fastest and placed the highest privateer in Superbike points in 1980. Looks close to what I had back then, and what I am putting back together now!!!
