The thing that really makes this one bigger too is the size of the rear pipe. The collector does sit fairly low too. I think the Kerner would be a bit tighter. I've also had thoughts of using my stock down pipes and welding something custom up...

Ok so i'm still haven't been able to get that one cylinder to burn clean on idle. This is the cylinder that runs the vacuum line for the fuel pump on my 650. I took the carbs off and thoroughly cleaned them again today. Got some jump out of two bowls, and some gummed gas from a few spots. Scrubbed with a brush, did the pilot circuit clean that i've seen pictures of (Crack the bowls, pilot jets out, blow air/cleaner through the pilot circuit blocking different ports). Put the carbs on, same issue. The only thing I haven't done is change the spark lead from this cylinder (I can't because the shop that put the coils on glued the lines in place. ..) could this be because of the vacuum line? Do I just have to live with it? Floats were quadruple checked. Keep in mind this is a bored 650 out to a 720. Pods, dyna jet stage 3 kit with needle on clip 4, 122 mains, 4 into 1 exhaust. Anybody...?

I am not aware of any KZ650 that uses a fuel pump.
If you meant to say there is a vacuum line from the problem carb to the petcock there is a common problem that sometimes causes that to run rich. KZ650 models that use vacuum operated petcocks have a vacuum line that runs from the petcock to a port on the #2 carb. That carb often ends up running rich or flooding because the diaphragm inside the petcock fails and permits fuel to run through the vacuum line into the carb. You can check this by removing the vacuum line from the carb and seeing if it has any gas in the line - it should not. Also, you can temporarily cap off that vacuum line and cap off the port on the #2 carb; put the petcock in the "PRI" position; and see if #2 still runs rich. If you find the petcock is the problem it can be rebuilt (sometime successfully / sometimes not) or replaced to solve the problem. Ed

So I swapped the spark line heads from cylinder one to cyl 2, gave that a shot. And no luck... Which is making me think that there could be an issue in the spark lead for #2 itself somewhere? Or I just need to rebuild the diaphragm for fun as well...
I'm really stumped with this one...
