They're coming don't worry ;) I have a few really good ideas of places around my city that I can get some high quality shots at.

Quick question for everyone. I adjusted the float in my one carb that was giving me issues- running rich and not letting the air screw do it's thing. I checked it with the clear tube method, and adjusted it. I'm still having the issue, and in order to get it to burn blue at idle (still using the Colortune unit), the screw has to be pretty well all the way out. I took all the air screws out, checked the needles, and sprayed carb cleaner in all the holes. Still no real change. I'm thinking I should re-adjust the float another time? All other cylinders are running dark brown to light tan right now, using stock size 15 pilots turned between 1.5-2 turns out from seated.

I had a lovely run in with some old rubber today... My oil cooler lines should have been replaced when I did everything else on the bike, but I left them alone. Went for a ride today, and blew one out... Lucky enough I had someone bring me oil and I limped it home (10 miles or so) filling it a few times. The oil that was left seemed to be ok. I really hope I didn't do any damage to the lower end or the cams/valves... Lesson learned- ALWAYS replace any old hoses you think might need replacing, no questions asked

just out of curiosity, have you tried moving the plug wire to a different cylinder to see if the issue follows the wire?

So as I've been breaking the bike in, I've run into an issue I knew I would have, but wasn't sure how bad it would be. The collector on my exhaust has met the highway a few times, and let's just say the highway has won a few times now... I'm needing to either buy a sidewinder exhaust (does anyone know where or HAVE one I could potentially purchase), or know a shop that I could get one made at? I need a sidewinder style due to how low the bike sits- when the exhaust is on the bike, it's got maybe 3 inches ground clearance, and you can all guess what happens when you hit a bump at 60+ miles an hour...

That's so cool! I think this is definitely the way I'd go! That's so cool how you can choose every part and have a totally custom exhaust built :) thanks Kaw!

i've always wondered if you could use one of these flat four into four collectors
www.coneeng.com/pdf/Flat%204-1%20&%203-1%20Collector%20PDF.pdf
www.coneeng.com/collectors.html
and build a low profile header that goes under the bike and then the tailpipe could come out and up into a kerker or nitro style megaphone.
having the down pipes slip fit would make it easily removable for oil changes.

I like the idea with that one, Leon... That would keep everything out of the way when it comes to turning right. The exhaust I have on it right now is off a 2001 Zephyr 750 which uses the same head, but drops the collector right under the oil pan, and you have to remove the exhaust to do oil changes...

I like the idea of doing the headers into the flat 4, then I'd run a single tube out the back like I already do, angling it up at the end to give me ground clearance, and put my Yosh can (or a fancy new one from these guys) on it ;)

I'm really liking Cone Engineering... This stuff looks wicked!
