What do you plan to do for the battery box? Will it still mount in place with the shock bracing there?

Battery will mount right in front of shock mount. Between air filter pods and shock mount. Planning on going back to work on it soon!

I will most likely be building my own exhaust for it. Too cheap to buy anything else!

Slowly getting some stuff done on the bike. I modified my headlight bracket to get it to bolt onto the new triples. Then realized the headlight sits too high for my liking. I will be fixing that soon. Next I got my offset sprocket made and the chain installed. Today I relieved my clutch cover for the offset sprocket/chain clearance. It looks like I need to shift the wheel to the right a hair for perfect sprocket alignment.
I will be working with my exhaust pretty soon here. I do not have extra money right now for this project but do not want to keep my stock exhaust. I also do not want to have to re-jet the bike when I am done. I have a CBR600 header. It uses the same size of tubes and is a 4-1. I am considering cutting it up along with my stock exhaust to build a 4-1 header for my bike. That should be simple enough. My problem is I don't have much money to spend. I also want to keep stock back pressure. I read on this forum about a tractor muffler being used to keep stock back pressure.
Can someone tell me the outlet size of the 4-1 collector on their V&H or other 4-1?
Can someone also point me in the direction of a link for a tractor muffler that would work?
Thanx

Pulled the engine out during work today. I will now finish welding in the shock mounts and other misc stuff. I really want to put this back on the road soon! Debating on rattle canning the frame over existing finish or sand blasting frame and the painting with Por15. What to do......?
Also debating on the engine. Should I sand blast and paint it or just clean it up?
We have a sand blaster at work. Planning on using playground sand for both items....any objections or readily available low cost alternatives?
