updates. have new led turn signals installed, a little disappointed in that they are smaller than i thought they looked in picture but they work great. removed rear grab bar so the body flows better from new seat to the tail. also began install of superbike bar. flipped it upside down and think i'm gonna like that. should work with all the stock cables, just had to do some rerouting that i'm not done with yet and gonna have to modify steering stop to keep bar off the tank at full turns. really did more than i should have this morning considering i work 7-12's on night shift. i'm really tired and will post the pics later today when i get back up or tomorrow. definitely leaving wires outside the bar, talk about trying my patience pulling 35yr old wire harnesses out of a small diam bar.

btw...since i got the idea from another kzr brother to mount the superbike upside down i will have a brand new chrome 7/8 clubman bar for sale whenever it arrives.

also was bummed to find out yesterday that blastfromthepast.com doesn't have rearsets for my LTD. if anyone has leads on a bolt on set out there i'd be interested.

Les's sets look to be very very nice, and they are a bit cheaper than the tarozzi's.

But for the record, i have an 78 LTD and i bought the Tarozzis for the MK2 A3, A4. All that was required to make them work was using the MC push rod from a mk2, its slightly shorter.

Got superbike bar installed, flipped it back upright though. Liked the look upside down but didn't like the weight on my hands. Also removed crash bar in anticipation of new exhaust arrival

Opened front door this evening to head to work and surprise surprise, my NOS exhaust was on the stoop. Can't wait to install.

You should lower your headlight and flip your gauges to the bottom, would make those bars pop!

Headlight is going to be replaced with dual 4.5in unit and dark smoke fly screen. Hadn't thought bout the instrument cluster but will definitely look at it when get off work in the morning

Ps. Forgot to mention the pipes i bought are from SS Headers and they are NOS from back in the day. Have the original box and 1978 newspaper used for the packing. :cheer: which i think is pretty cool. I've just got to come up with some rear muffler brackets since i bought my bike with the 4-1 already put on. Anyone have a set? Might hit home depot after i get them mounted and see exactly what i need. Hopefully hese pipes work out and will solve one of my other fab projects having to create a stop for my center stand.

Installed exhaust this morning after work. I love it. Now i don't have to fabricate something to keep center stand out of the chain. I used some flat brackets from walmart to hang the mufflers til i can find the factory ones. It doesn't look bad and fit perfectly.

It's nice to have some shiny down pipes instead of the rusty ones i had. Next on agenda is pulling horn/turn signal controls back off and re-soldering couple wires that came loose while swapping the bars. Maybe tackle that tomorrow if not to tired after work. Been missing a lot of sleep on these upgrades but i love the transformation of the bike
