almost stock....soon to be streetfighter

Installed exhaust this morning after work. I love it. Now i don't have to fabricate something to keep center stand out of the chain. I used some flat brackets from walmart to hang the mufflers til i can find the factory ones. It doesn't look bad and fit perfectly.

It's nice to have some shiny down pipes instead of the rusty ones i had. Next on agenda is pulling horn/turn signal controls back off and re-soldering couple wires that came loose while swapping the bars. Maybe tackle that tomorrow if not to tired after work. Been missing a lot of sleep on these upgrades but i love the transformation of the bike

Side note my crash bar won't fit back on since the downpipes on this system come straight down instead of slanting inside the frame. Guess that will go up for sale too and I'll have to find the triangle bars for bike. Definitely want to keep engine protected.

i really like that exhaust! I cant seem to find many if any custom 4 cylinder pipes

Yeah, i was wanting to go back to a 4-2 system and lucked out and found this one on ebay. Wasn't looking to spend the money right now but couldn't pass on the chance for NOS system from '78. Really would like the 4-4 pipes but only new ones I've found are $1500, and I'm not spending that kind of money on pipes.

finally broke down and ordered more parts for bike. have new dual headlights and dual led taillights on the way. :woohoo:
that will complete the major appearance overhaul of bike . looking for triangle crash bars since my universal one doesn't fit with new pipes if anyone had a lead . will post pics when parts arrive and i get them put on.

put new headlights on today. can't wait til its dark to see how good they light things up.

Looks good, keep up the good work. What's next? Can u lower the lights and the gauges ? Just a thought.

lowered my headlights, have gauges off trying to figure best way to lower them. also have new taillight to install and ordered a new battery. i bought the ballistic 12 cell. hope it works as good as advertised . reviews I've read are positive and since my existing one has kicked the bucket i figured what the hey. will post more pics when Get taillights mounted and gauges back on.
