Now I can't decide between the long look like the bike in the above pic. Or the shorter Daytona style that ends about mid to 3/4 tire. Any opinions?

No, the wife won't ride with me. She's scared. She's seen me wheelie past her a few times while she was in a car. That was all she needed to decide. So no passengers ever.

then go with the shorter one.

more compact, gives it a stretched out look.

My koso gauge showed up last week. Unfortunately I had to send it back due to something on the inside of the lens. It should arrive late this week. I won a set of zrx1100 Kyb shocks off eBay. Do I need to change the rear geometry for these shocks? Since I am removing the top tube it would be a good time to move the upper shock mount if it's necessary.

Thank Leon I sent mark a pm. I wanted ohlins but they were way out of my budget. I figured the Kyb's would be the best bang for my buck and far better than some Chinese copy's with no valving adjustment.

from what i see, u dont need my help. u already have the Master fabricator, Leon , at your beckon call. :)
just for others who may need to know, the top shock mount should be 15 5/8" up from the swingarm pivot, with the zrx shocks. this gives u the required angle to make the spring rate correct.
u mentioned getting a zx6 master cyl. just a note. it can be any master u think looks the coolest. all the newer 1's will work just fine. if u r mushy at the lever now, it may just be air in the lines still. i use a vacuum bleeder for all my bikes.even the old masters should feel firm.

Thanks Mark for posting the info in my thread.. I used a vac bleeder. I dont know if mushy is the correct description. It feels fine except the lever has to be squeezed further in than normal. It's working fine so I'm leaving that swap for later.
I'm waiting for all my parts to get here: cafe seat, Koso gauge, and zrx shocks. I need the seat and the shocks before I can chop my frame and bend up the top tube. It is great to have the help of such knowledgable people!

1 trick i use when i have a line off for any reason. i push the caliper pistons all the way into there holes. this reduces the air in there that u have to remove. then i start at the farthest side and then the short side. i dont even squeeze the lever untill i think i'm done.

Thanks Mark I'll give that method a try to see if I can improve the feel. Do you have any pictures of your upper shock mounts? I took some 15 5/8 measurements from the pivot. Looks like the mounts will be moving forward quite a bit. I was just curious what the mounting points looked like.
Thanks for the help.
