Where did you find an 18" drum mag wheel? I have an 18" drum Lester on mine, but by the time Kawasaki switched to cast wheels, didn't they also switch to a rear disc (which started in '76 with the LTD)?

You can get an 18" drum from a KZ550, but I think the axle size is different. It was a direct swap onto my 650B1

Think you'll find first disc was on the 1977 1000 :huh:

Nope, first rear disc was a '76 KZ900 LTD.
