it didnt come eith the nuts to mount it and i dont have any that size so i have to
pro it up but every thing is flush by the time i put th rubber grommets and a strip
of rubber for vibration should work ok

i have bought a couple tail lts a zx12 and a Harley lt. I’m not sure which 1 I like best yet. when i get around to mounting 1, i thought i may let it stick out a bit, so it can be seen from the side. i was thinking safety/visibility, more so than aesthetics.

yeah i'm not sure im gonna like this one it may be too far up but after my last mis-hap im thinkin

Ahhhh, I see now. Have you attempted to demould the glass work from the tail piece yet? Fyi, that CBR light fits a Z1 tail PERFECTLY Are you going to mould in some sockets for the tabs at the top of the light?

yeah the it popped right out i may attempt another one just for a nicer finish. I been studyin on whether to try and mould in the sockets or rey something else (not sure of what something else is at this point)

I'm sure you're in no mood to paint a Z1 tail to match your existing bodywork, but this is how that light fits in a Z1 tail:


I was going to mould some sockets in mine, but since you're using a stock tail, maybe plastic weld some ABS sockets in place?

oh wow! I didnt know there was such a dif in the Z1 tail. been lookin to paint another set at least i know which tail to use what yr is the tail from.

have no experience with plastic welding but thats the most logical route and hell i didnt have experience with kz before i started either lol

That tail is 73-75 for sure. I'm not certain about the 76 tail....maybe, maybe not....someone else would know better. Plastic welding isn't all that difficult. Its basically a soldering gun and you melt the plastic pieces together, use a little ABS filler rod and it'll feel like TIG welding

thanks man they are just chrome guage covers from either Z1 enterprise or Z1 parts. net forget where i got em they both have em but one was 1/2 the price as the other
