And thanks to everyone for your compliments! Being perfectly honest, I'm not a huge fan of the flames either (flames on a motorcycle??? unheard of!!! :silly: ), but considering the cost to repaint everything, and the current condition of the paint, I'm satisfied.

I do have a Z1 knock off color scheme (and the proper emblems) in mind when I have $700 to burn

Thanks! I lost a side cover a year ago and had one painted- it's actually a factory Honda automobile color. I thought for sure it was that burnt orange color Chevy uses (a Z06 Vette in that burnt orange color looks MEAN!).

I got all new rubber grommets from Jeff and I don't have to pin my covers any more. Roy

Sunday morning... i just walked out the door into the driveway where my two other Z1 owning friends are pulling up,i have been hearing them heading to my house for about five minutes.....about 1985-86...candy apple red...one pearl white,one black, all stood there on the kickstand simple and sleek just like yours....time machine...three of us on back roads , mid summer, doing 100 two feet apart

that bike would be a twin to any of those long gone Z's....represent

Nice Bike Mark, I've seen the beauty in person. I like flames on bikes, I think they look cool.
