76 kz900 was created by Kawiboy514
started my kz. heres what it looked like when i got it. wrecked bent forks.


tore it down a little.


down to bare frame ready to go get powdercoated.


Controls painted just gotta do the letters.


Brand new forktubes came in today. thanks z1 enterprises.


superbike bars and pro grips and fork seals.


painted top clamp and bar mounts


thats it for now.

before you powder coat the frame id put it on a frame jig if you havent already B)

Thanks! its my first street bike. i like the vintage stuff better than the modern. i hope it turns out good.

modern stuff sucks,just a bunch of heartless aluminum and plastic being rolled off the assembly line by keebler elves! :sick:

i said the same thing back in the 70s-early 80s wishing i would of been around to see new 55 chevys and bigblock 67 chevelles running the streets B)
im sure the guys who grew up on the 550-750 hondas and iron headed harleys thought those damn z1s were nothing but futuristic death traps when they came out also!

kinda true still..i was on a ride with some older bikes last friday and the true old bike guys looked at my 79 as some kind of generic newer /old bike....it was almost 85% ignored...a few folks stoppped and snapped a pic...but mostly the older bike guys were into 75 and before it seemed


go figure......everyone else in the normal crowds wonders why i would want bikse from the 70-80 era

Haha sounds about right i had a guy that rides a zx10 say why are you riding a harley when he looked at my kz made me so mad!!

Update! frame and motor mounts and everything else that i thought that could be powdercoated is being powdecoated as we speak now time to clean up the motor.

nope.
i just sold my cb550,and 750, and bought my first kz900/1135cc. Yea Babby, were movin on up :woohoo:
