Well the holidays are over and I'm unemployed but still at it. This build has been a real *¡¥¢} but I ain't giving up. Have 6 freaking Kawasaki projects now....time to focus!! Can.t so wiring kz900 has been hell and the bobber carb conversion is on my midnight oil list today. PVC intake cut almost done. Will it last if I coat it with tank liner or should I take detailed notes for the nxt one if it don't??? pics coming in a few.......welll pics wont upload so maybe later

oh my lord... I kinda skimmed through a bit but those pictures of that milky brown shit all over the inside of the motor were aweful Not sure whats been done since then but i would recommend draining the oil and someone once told me a good way to flush a motor would be to fill it up with WD-40 (from the big metal cans you can get full of the stuff). and then let it sit for a week or so and drain it. OR... you could tear it down, clean, and then re-assemble

need another 90 to finish mock up but then that's my luck. Learning about wiring diagrams bout 10 days in figuring,re-wiring,cleaning connections, all that jazz with my kz900...will have to start a build thread when real progress is made

Pvc doesn't generally hold up well to sunlight, atleast the white version anyway.
You might want to try making your intake from dwv copper fittings instead

Wireman's copper idea would look cool.
My vote is go forward without the liner. Just for testing purposes.
PVC is smooth from factory so flow should be good. How PVC holds up to ethanol/gas, engine heat, sunlight, etc. may be a problem long term. Who knows?
Try letting some junk PVC sit in gas for a week and see what happens to it.
I would go ahead and mount the carb on PVC and see if you can get the engine running well before worrying about long term effects on the plumbing before even knowing if it's gonna work at all.
My 1.25¢ (after taxes)
