Not sure I won't go for old-school toggles and small push buttons from the local electronics supplier, but the old KZ control polished a little is making me smile.
Also thinking of joining a local place called Club Workshop as it means access to a full metal shop (amongst other things) for $90/mo so hopefully be able to be a little faster/better/more ambitious.

Lots of situational changes, some work and little posting.
Here's a quick peak of where we are on July 15, 2012.
I'll post some interim pica soon.

Anyhow. Been working on a number of machines including a 77 KZ1000 which I started the other day. Best of my knowledge, first time in 31 years.
Former drag bike. 11k original miles. Last registered...'82

And the 76 (this thread's bike) is also running. No idea when it ran last as it was unregistered and in crates when I bought it. At least since this thread started!
I also took delivery of the new seat, an H2r "slim" unit from Airtech. Really beautiful work on the seat, though I don't really know what to do about the gap between the front of the seat and the tank. Clearly designed for the racing tank on the H2r, so shorter.
Oh well, not supper bothered about that.

Next steps on this guy?
Finish off the trays for the electrics and weld tabs to hold them. Using "Alucabon", or something like that. It's a laminated aluminum material. Rigid, non-conductive and can be cut using a router with a fence - tidy.
Then some tabs on the frame to hold it.
Mount the wiring. (ha ha - such an easy thing to type out - only three words. May take longer to do...
Breed front brakes
Buy and mount holder for rear brake
Find/turn spacer for rear wheel
and a bunch of other little jobs, like the chain, mounting guages, mounting the ignition key and others that I barely think of when thinking about what I have left to do, but may take a long time.
Getting closer...

Thanks. It was kinda a happy accident. I wanted to keeps "curves" in the build (it's a 70's bike, and, my favorite gender to look at has curves too ). I was just lucky the curves lined up so well with the stop on the seat.
PS - RE: your avatar... Was just mountain biking yesterday and saw a big, gnarly-ass purple wasp dragging a f'ing dead tarantula across the path. I was like, "now that, is a bad-ass bug!"
