The sharp eye will note that this particular set of ZRX passenger pegs has the exhaust hanger ground off the right side...which totally screws my intention, so I sourced another set and they're on the way.

After installing the jet-kit and attempting the start up I encountered something strange and in diagnosing the problem I encountered 27 year old spark-plug wires that were in dire need of replacement.

So, there it is. Waiting on passenger pegs, needing to go back inside the carbs and check the o-rings, need to have a mid-pipe made to connect the megaphone to the header, and install the plug wires...then there's the brakes... :lol:

up here in the great white north they are getting 275.00 for a set of k&n pods so i envy you guy's just a bit. if the parts were cheaper up here i'd have twice as many bikes up and running.

Two Seventy Five?!!! Holy puss-buckets! That sucks.

Threw some satin black paint on the newly welded brackets for the ZRX passenger pegs.

I hate the current Kerker cannister, but don't have the funds to do the modding necessary for the conversion; so, I took the nasty can off and cleaned it up.

Here's the Kerker off the GS doner. The plan is to mount this megaphone, after I get the rear-sets mounted and the connecting pipe bent.

So, jet kit installed, pods sourced - cleaned - and installed (thanks Blitzkraig!), ZRX passenger pegs installed, and new plug wires installed.

Ready to go, right? Inside two cylinders won't fire; chased it down to (probably) the pick-up coils. I'll find out this weekend. DANG IT!!!

Once it's up and running it'll be the daily driver and I'll sort the exhaust, rear-sets, seat upholstery, and cosmetics (to include side-cover emblems, black powdercoat the ZRX pegs, bead-blast and JetHot coat the exhaust) over winter. Oh, and I'll install the big blocky clunky black GPz turn indicators...because I like 'em! :woohoo:
