I also stumbled into a ZRX. 2000 1100 in green. I had it for 4 years before I got around to it, but I finally got it going this past summer. I really like it.

If I could only have one bike it would probably be a ZRX.

Gah! Only one bike? What kind of world would that be?

Congrats on the ZRX.
I love mine.
Only thing is the KZ gets less attention.

Yeah unfortunately I was hit by a gremlin of my own making by not replacing the 20 year old send unit seal. It finally perished and ruined the tank paint on the right side. I had it sitting on some cardboard on the floor and gas pooled enough to creep under the finish at the bottom right side. It's not all bad as now I'm motivated to get all of it repainted.
New seal on order. Ordered one for the ZRX while I was at it, it's close to 20 years old as well.
Bitch is I never used the send unit. Now I'll scavenge the plate. Weld off the through port and get it ready to seal up the tank. I was going to just build a plate to block it off then noticed the stock plate captures the side walls and the fasteners have a shoulder on them so the gasket isn't crushed. So time to mod this send unit to be a block off plate.

Partzilla.com claims to have them in stock. Yet every time I order there is a delay on gathering the other parts on my orders to ship. I have three outstanding right now waiting to receive. At least they have released one of three with one outstanding part still missing so I can get rolling on the swingarm install. But the bike will not be back on the road until I receive all and finish this thrash. That's why it's such a bummer to have the KZ down right now too. Would be nice to not have both bikes waiting for parts.

Strange that it's discontinued. Once I get this in will measure the dimensions and let you know.
It may be ok to move to the later model gasket since it seems to be crossing over to the 2019 concourse and other later bikes
Will be a couple weeks it seems before I'll see this order.

Performed some surgery on the tail. It finally broke at the left mount point.
Little ABS sheet and adhesive fixed it up nicely.
New rubber has no hard lip sot it will work perfectly with the added thickness post glue up.
Dremel Tools are the bees knees. Used the 60 grit sanding cylinder. Muaaaaa.

Tank was treated inside with Por13.
New Tires! Michelin Pilot for a change. Bridgestone rear had to be plugged and front was 12 years old?
Grease up and bin up the parts I see need refresh.
Sliders for the rear brakes opened up with a puff of grease dust. Cleaning, lubing, assembling.

ZRX is coming along well. Just have to get this KZ out of the way to keep going. Brakes and Water systems next.
