Another update... Clutch cover modified for the 13.5mm offset cc sprocket (Chain Oil Pump mount ground down and sides cut out for chain clearance).

Clutch cable adjustments completed to service manual specs, clutch release and push rod assembly cleaned and greased for strong and smooth operation...

ZX-9 extension figured out using another HEX coupler (from good old ACE hardware)

Nice application on the rear-sets. Are they a 'factory' rearset off something, like a ZX9R, 7R, or something?

Just another update...

As you may have followed, the front end is from a 2005 ZX6R (636) so since I won't be using the KZ900 instrument cluster I had to figure a way for the ignition key.

Well, had a wild hair up may ass today and this is what I came up with.

Basically, cut a 1/3 off a 2" piece of aluminum pipe I had, fabbed a top out of 1/8" aluminum plate, brazed them together and buffed out... Fairly simple but functional.

Oh yeah, that'll definately work. I thought I recognized those pegs, I have a set myself...went with the 9Rs b/c at the time they had the most rubber-damping of the sets that I was considering.
You're bike is coming along quite nicely.

Update: Head light mounting bracket on 50mm fork tubes...

In reviewing numerous websites and magazines, I found head light mounting bracket pricing to be somewhat high for what you got. So I figured what the hell, I'd make my own...

Off to ACE hardware to pick up some 1/8" x 1 1/4" aluminum flat strip plate ($15) and a 1 1/2" ID (1 13/16" O.D. = 1.8" = 50mm) steel pipe ($4) for bending the aluminum around...

Here's the results....

Well thank you...

I have seen other brackets for ~ $80 but they just weren't fitting the theme I had in mind. For others that did, I found the costs somewhat crazy for what you got. I mean damn it, it's a headlight bracket for Christ sakes...

As can be reviewed in the attached image, $190...
