Progress was made this past weekend. The supplies I ordered came on Friday and I have started the wheel swap. It will be a big change from the 16" wheel to the 18" wheel. The tire was a pain to put on and seat the bead, but I won the battle and I am moving forward. I did get distracted with a couple of other projects. See other pictures.

As it could be with KZ750 E model body work. Everything worked out great. Even the tank bolted down into place. I have the seat and the tail piece but I did not get that far to see what else would fit.
Now I can switch it up when the cops come looking for me!

Unfortunately, no. The forks just barely touch the tank in the front so the steering stops would have to be adjusted (reducing the turning radius).

I know that the LTD has 3 degrees more rake to it than the E model, perhaps using triple trees from a E model would allow the forks to clear the tank depending on the offset of the trees. Of course, the rake could be in the neck of the frame. This is all just off the top of my head at this point. Perhaps looking for the E model would be easier...

I just looked at the Kawasaki website and the E model and LTD model have different part numbers for the triple trees.

Quick question, is that 16" to 18" rear wheel swap a straight swap? What about the rear sprocket size with the larger wheel?

just search ebay for "lucas style taillight" and you'll find a decent selection of those lamps at a good price B)

I think that is the way to go. I made my own because I am cheap and I wanted to. I had the extra brake lever and the aluminum plate so the rearsets cost me nothing but time. I thought about replacing the shift lever with one from another bike but it is still working great.
