Depends on how you ride it, if you ride it like you stole it you wont be getting much! I get around 35 to 40 mpg.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Don't you just love POs. Makes you wonder the reasoning or thinking. I'm sure if anyone owns my bike after I do they'll be just as puzzled if not more.

I get in the neighborhood of 45 mpg or approx 180 mi to reserve give or take depending on the type of riding I'm doing. Mine has hotter cams than yours so you could probably expect a little better.

I generally do around town riding. Nothing crazy. People around here a nuts and don't give a damn.
Fixed the carbs today and got a new fuel filter. Runs good.
After talking to multiple folks. I did decide not to cut the frame. I would like to get rid of the brick possibly at some point.
The bike was apparently plasti dipped at some point. Spent the rainy afternoon with a rag and goo gone getting that crap off.

That "brick" does stand out. What were they thinking?

If you're interested in the ZR7 taillight is pretty simple and easy to find. You can see my mod at the start of the thread that's in my signature line. I lucked out and found a used ZR7 fender elimination kit which made it more affordable and it came with blinkers to boot. Another member responded with the example of how he tucked the brick on his ELR.
